What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is much more than a system of physical exercise; it’s a dynamic, powerful tool for expanding awareness. An integrated and authentic system of exercise, breath control, it’s safe, comprehensive, and simple. It promotes physical health, stimulates the mind’s potential, and touches one’s innermost being.
It is this synthesis that is the secret to its transformative power.
The history of Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is known as the mother of all Yogas because it has been practiced in India for millenia. Yet because it is so powerful, its techniques were kept a closely guarded secret. However in 1969, master of the art, Yogi Bhajan travelled to the West and began to openly teach it, and now it is practiced extensively wordwide.
What makes Kundalini Yoga different?
Whereas some yogas concentrate on asana (posture), others on meditation, others on pranayam (breathwork), and others still on mantra (voice vibration)… Kundalini Yoga integrates them all. It is this synthesis that is the secret to its transformative power.
What is Kundalini?
Kundalini is decribed by Yogi Bhajan as ‘the nerve of the soul’. In practical terms it is the combination of the energy of the nervous system and the glandular system. When this energy is fully awakened it brings a heightened and expansive awareness, coupled with feelings of tranquility and happiness.
Is Is it safe?
Yes. Kundalini Yoga may be powerful, but the nature of these time honoured techniques ensures that one awakens with ease and grace.
Who’s it for?
You! Kundalini Yoga is safe to practice for all.
